This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm . The Government intends to negotiate a modification to existing contract number N00164-05-D-6661 to increase the ceiling value in order to complete current tasks and related tasking that have been started under this contract. Approximately 40 task orders have been awarded to date, with expectation of approximately 12 more awards that are continuations of phased developmental activities started under this contract. The Government is in the process of initiating a task order under the Seaport contract to meet future requirements. It is anticipated that the Seaport task order will be awarded approximately late November. This modification will only accommodate requirements that exist before the award of the Seaport task order and will only accommodate requirements directly related to work that has already been performed under this contract. The existing contractor is Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) of Johnstown, PA. Negotiations will be held on a sole source basis! with CTC in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Thus, numbered note 22 applies. Based on the fact that the Government intends to execute a modification to the existing contract, no formal solicitation will be issued. This notice is being executed in accordance with FAR 5.2 because it is anticipated that the modification to the existing contract will exceed $25,000. Questions concerning this action may be directed to contract specialist Lisa Larson at telephone (812) 854-8792, email [email protected] or contracting officer J.D. Martin at telephone (812) 854-3723, email [email protected].
