7/29/05 - Modified Pre-Solicitation Synopsis is issued to remove the ATM equipment from this effort. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract to DNE Technologies, Inc. to purchase Low Data Rate Multiplexers (LDRM) equipment to include spare parts and compatible upgrade kits for existing tactical communications systems to support the Navy's strategic and C4I Infrastructures. The equipment must be specific make and model to be compatible with the unique hardware and proprietary software features of the existing ship to shore communications. DNE is the only known source who can provide the requested equipment since the algorithms/programs for the LDRM equipment versions remain proprietary to DNE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
