The City of Santa Ana (City), is soliciting competitive bids from qualified bidders to furnish and deliver Narcan (Naloxone) Nasal Spray Kits for the treatment of opioid overdose on an as-needed basis, in accordance with City needs and/or fund availability and the specifications provided herein. Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) intends to place an initial order of 230 kits will be placed immediately upon award of a contract. Additional kits will be ordered on an as-needed basis throughout the term of the Contract. a. SAPD Naloxone Kit ⢠(1) Plastic/Hard Case ⢠Color: White ⢠Preferred Dimensions: 7âL x 6âW x 2.5âH ⢠Three printed and adhered labels designed/created and adhered by Vendor: - Exterior/Top: SAPD Logo, âSAPD Naloxone Kitâ, and manufacturerâs storage temperature instructions - Exterior/Bottom: Description, kit contents, other distribution information - Interior/Lid: Administration instructions with graphic, and Vendor contact information for overdose kit administrators. ii. (1) Box of Narcan (Naloxone HCI) Nasal Spray 4 mg, with two (2) dose packs iii. (1) Rescue breathing mask iv. (1) Prepacked mouth to mouth resuscitation/CPR shield device (mouth piece) v. (2) Prepacked nitrile gloves, Size Large All notifications, updates, and addenda will be posted on the Cityâs bid management and publications system at www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=20137. All questions must be submitted in writing through this site by 2:00 PM on or before October 15, 2019. A written response will be provided via PlanetBids email notification. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid. The bidder is solely responsible for âon timeâ submission of their electronic bid. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an e-bid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidderâs sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids.
