The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-10-G-0009 with Martin Baker Aircraft Company, Ltd (MBA), Higher Denham, Middlesex, England for F/A-18 and T-45 Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seats (NACES) Service Life Assessment Program (SLAP) including associated engineering, logistics support and technical data.
This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Martin-Baker Aircraft Company, Ltd is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seats (NACES) that are currently deployed throughout the fleet and as such is the only source with the requisite knowledge and experience necessary to meet this requirement.
