National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) and Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO) had intended to host an Industry Day on or about November 18, 2010 for an anticipated NCDC Mission Support acquisition. No official notices concerning a NCDC Industry had been issued. However, several companies that contacted NOAA were informed of NOAA's intention to hold an Industry Day on or about November 18, 2010.
NCDC Mission Support Industry Day is indefinitely cancelled.
NOAA has received a high level of interest for the NCDC Mission Support requirements. NOAA does not plan to re-compete the current Mission Support requirements with a follow-on single GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The last date to place orders on the current Mission Support BPA (EA133E-06-BR-0019) is February 28, 2011 and the period of performance for orders may extend for one year past this final ordering date, allowing for performance of tasks through February 27, 2012.
The NCDC Mission Support requirements have been re-evaluated. NOAA anticipates sourcing NCDC Mission Support requirements through three separate NOAA strategic sourcing vehicles as follows:
1) NCDC Mission Support Information Technology requirements are anticipated to be sourced through NOAA Link multiple award contracts;
2) NCDC Mission Support Science and Technical Support requirements are anticipated to be sourced through the NOAA Scientific, Technical Support Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity multiple award contracts;
3) At this time, NOAA anticipates establishment of GSA FSS BPAs for NCDC Mission Support Advisory and Assistance services following the procedures at Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-3, 8.405-2, GSA Ordering Guidelines, and Schedule 874 Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS). The anticipated release for the Advisory and Assistance BPAs Request for Quotations is on or about January 12, 2011. This opportunity will be posted on GSA e-Buy.
