Notice of Intent to Award Sole-Source

The 27^th Special Operations Contracting Squadron, Cannon AFB, New Mexico intents to award a sole source purchase order to Olympus America, Inc. They will be providing NDI Equipment that are used by Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) personnel to detect defects, cracks and delaminations in composite materials and metal. The sole source strategy will stand until the attached memorandum from AFLCMC/EZPT-NDIO (AF NDI OFFICE) Tinker AFB, OK 73145-3307, Mr. Walter Matulewicz DSN 852-5818 requiring the use of this specific product is superseded or rescinded. Further information on the products and the reasoning behind awarding sole-source is providing in the attached Single Source Justification.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 8 May 2019. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 3 May 2019 at 11:00 AM Mountain Standard Time.

A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
