The Government Accountability Office (GAO) often called the "congressional watchdog,” is an independent, non-partisan agency
that works for Congress. GAO examines how taxpayer dollars are spent, and provides Congress and federal agencies with objective,
nonpartisan, fact-based information to help the government save money and work more efficiently.
To understand the agency’s impact and support the Office of Public Affairs, GAO requires a daily, comprehensive, custom, digital
report that includes articles and news mentions related to GAO. The media monitoring news-clippings service shall capture mentions
of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the current U.S. Comptroller General in the news from all media categories
(print, broadcast, web-based, social media, etc.).
