This notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-55, Effective 03 Jan 2012, Item III, Brand Name Specifications. The North American Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 334220 and the size standard is 750 employees.
Brand Name/Sole Source Justification: This is procurement will fulfill a requirement of the USAFA Athletics Department's Video Production Department (ADIV) which is will set up production in both the Cadet Field House and Falcon Stadium. Both activities require two replay/controller units. ADIV also requires a Live Video Production System. Broadcast Pix and NewTek are the only known manufacturers able to fulfill this requirement. Both USAFA activities operate video production equipment compatible with Broadcast Pix and NewTek. Other brands are not compatible with the existing scoreboard systems at Falcon Stadium and Clune Arena as they could potentially cause production interruption and workflow delay. The suggested dealer of both Broadcast Pix and NewTek is Peak Media, Inc.
