Shotgun Creek Culvert Replacements - This project consists of replacing existing culverts at two sites, MP-0.1 and MP-0.6 on NFSR 5637. At MP-0.1 work consists of replacing an existing 42" culvert with a 144" x 60" x 66' Structural Plate Arch. At MP-0.6 work consists of replacing an existing 49" culvert with a 168" x 55.5" x 64' Structural Plate Arch. Both sites are on a single lane aggregate surfaced road. All three sites will allow aquatic organism passage. Work includes culvert removal, construction and installation of new structure, placing riprap, building grade control structures in the channel, rebuilding the road prism in the same location, replacement of surfacing, aggregate base rock and asphalt along with all other work necessary to complete the project as required by the contract, plans, and specifications.
The project is located at on NFS Road 5637 at MP 0.1 and MP 0.6. T38N, R14E, Sections 32 and 33.
Estimated performance period: June through October 2012.
Estimated price range: $100,000-$250,000.
Contractors are encouraged to inspect the project sites this fall before snow prohibits access. The Government intends to issue the solicitation and award the contract this winter or spring before the work sites become accessible again.
