As NF-L levels in serum are very low we need very sensitive assay which can measure such low levels. Only Simoa NF-L assay has potential measure serum NF-L levels in neurodegenerative disease patients as well as healthy controls. To maintain research integrity, with patient studies, it is critical that new variables are NOT introduced to the study.
