The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award contract modifications to BAE Systems Information and Electronics (BAE) under N00019-10-C-0070, ITT Corporation (ITT) under N00019-10-C-0071, Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) under N00019-10-C-0072, and Raytheon Corporation (RTN) under N00019-10-C-0073 providing for period of performance extensions to continue the Technology Maturation (TM) efforts for the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) system to reduce technical risk. Tasking includes efforts to advance the fidelity of the Critical Technology Elements (CTE) demonstrations and the continuation of Concept Demonstrator (CD) maturation risk reduction activities as identified in the contractor's technology roadmap. The Government intends to procure this effort under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by the FAR Section 6.302-1. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to BAE, ITT, NGSC, and RTN, as these contractors are the only firms that possess the requisite system knowledge to accomplish the prescribed tasking for the TM phase for NGJ within the required timeframes.
