The ImageStreamX Imaging Flow Cytometer located in the Flow Cytometry Center at NIEHS was originally purchased and installed by Amnis Corporation, Seattle, WA, now a division of the Millipore Corporation. This instrument analyses cells in flow at rates up to 1000 cells per second using high-resolution microscopy. The ImageStreamX system is manufactured and sold exclusively by Amnis Corporation (Millipore) in the U.S. The technology is Millipores' proprietary products and is not available from other sources. Millipore and no other source of suppliers can provide parts, maintenance, and upgrade service or services on this instrument. Additionally if problems arise, technical phone support directly with an Amnis (Millipore) engineer is included that provides immediate assistance in getting the instruments operational in a timely manner.
This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS' requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Teresa McCall at [email protected] and are due by 4:30PM ET on December 20, 2016. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
