This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a small business set aside because it has been determined that a small business can provide the necessary requirements. The solicitation number is FM442711511327; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-52 effective 31 May 2011; Defense DCN 20110608 effective 08 June 2011, and AFAC 2011-0421 effective 21 April 2011. Travis AFB has a requirement for 7 Nikon microscopes with 3 Phase and Gout configurations as well as a Nikon high resolution digital camera that can connect to each of the 7 microscopes.

The Gout configuration will determine the presence of crystals in body fluids while the Phase configuration will enhance visually stained and unstained cells for better identification.
