Technical Information
New lines must meet the following technical standards due to operations in heavy weather and cold conditions:
• 6 ea mooring lines (Amsteel Blue/Dyneema or equivalent) at serviceable length of 300’ including 72” (6ft) spliced eye at each end with chafing gear. o 12 Strand
o Elastic elongation at 30% breaking strength not to exceed .96% of line length
o Average breaking strength of 228,000 lbs.
o Minimum breaking strength of 205,000 lbs.
o 1 1/2” diameter
o ABS type approval
o Maximum weight of 52 lbs per 100 ft.
o Color-blue or green
