This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be not be issued.


This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP).

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement in support of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) to purchase Non-Human Primates (NHPs) from domestic, qualified U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) licensed dealers or commercial breeders. The NHPs will support the USAMRIID mission and other Government agencies collaborating with the USAMRIID, for use in their research programs. The NHPs must meet the Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs) identified in the Request for Proposal (RFP).

The Government intends to award a Multiple-Award (MA) Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (MA-IDIQ) contract with a period of performance consisting of a one (1) year base period and four (4) option periods. This is an Unrestricted Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 112990.
