The City of New Rochelle recently completed a juried art competition where graphic illustrators were sought to create an illustration that will be printed on vinyl and affixed to the blue wall panels located on the North Avenue Bridge, adjacent to 288 North Avenue, crossing the Metro North Railroad tracks. The illustrations submitted were required to center around the idea that this particular location is a Downtown Gateway from and to the New Rochelle Train Station, depicting the City’s vibrant art scene and also serving as a way finding element/feature.
