The 802nd Contracting Squadron at Lackland AFB, TX intends to award a Sole Source contract to Honeywell Security and Data Collection, 3019 Alvin Devane Blvd, Bldg. 4, Suite 430, Austin, Texas, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for the Installation, Alarm Equipment, and Annual Maintenenace agreement  of the IDS and ACS for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Honeywell SDC, on a sole source basis due to proprietary information protected by copyright laws and compatibility with Government-owned equipment. The NAICS Code is 561621 and the small business standard size is $12.5M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Proposals must be received not later than 6 February 2013, 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal procurement action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. Information received will be considered solely within the discretion of the government.
