NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD AS LIMITED SOURCE - TROPICAL COMBAT BOOT (TCB)

Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Product Manager, Infantry Combat Equipment (PdM ICE), is conducting a field user evaluation of boots that have improved performance in a tropical environment.

MARCORSYSCOM intends on procuring four (4) limited source purchase orders for (four hundred (400) pairs of the Tropical Combat Boot (TCB), with one hundred (100) pairs coming from the following vendors; Original Footwear, Bates Footwear, Belleville Boot Company, Rocky Boots. These prototypes will be worn by Marines as part of a Limited User Evaluation to gather user input and survey data.

The Justification and Statutory Authority for this procurement action is FAR 13.501. Each of the vendors listed above all have the materials and manufacturing skill-sets readily available to make the necessary (TCB) prototypes. 

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Quotes received from other than the stated sources will not be considered. No formal solicitation package is available. The anticipated award date is 30 May 2016.
