Over the past 25 years, the agencies and tribes involved in the recovery of anadromous salmonids in the Columbia River Basin have developed the most advanced Passive Integrated Transceiver (PIT) system in the world. NMFS transceivers in the current system have been in place for 13 years and are beginning to fail, the FS2020 model manufactured by Biomark are replacements to transceivers that failed. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334515. The size standard is 500 employees.
This notice represents the only official notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation package is available. It is the Government's belief that only Biomark Inc. instruments can work with NMFS current system however, firms that believe they can provide the supplies required that fully meet the Government's requirements may submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact within 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Such documentation will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
