99 - Service & Maintenance Agreement

Description

The 316th Contracting Squadron, Andrews AFB, MD intends to negotiate a sole source contract with American Science & Engineering, Inc (AS&E) to provide a service & maintenance for the Mobile Search Inspection Vehicle (S/N MS-052) and 101 VAN (S/N V312) used by the 316th Security Forces Squadron, of which AS&E is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The resulting award will be a firm fixed price contract. Negotiations being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All interested vendors are encouraged to provide information on their capabilities to meet this requirement. In order to be considered a potential source, interested vendors must submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating the capabilities to satisfy the requirement specified above. The documentation shall include prices and descriptive literature containing significant technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet this requirement. Only written responses will be considered. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of request for quotation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a subsequent competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The 316th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source contract on 30 September 09.
