DLA Distribution, Susquehanna, intends to award a fixed price contract for maintenance services of Rite-Hite manufactured loading dock equipment. This is a sole source requirement to Rite-Hite Company, LLC. (large business). In accordance with FAR 6.203-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements and FAR 13.106-1(b) “soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.”  Rite-Hite Company LLC. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and replacement parts and labor associated with the maintenance support services for this equipment must be provided by a contractor who has access to the equipment’s technical manuals and possesses a technical knowledge involving diagnosis and repair for this specific manufacturer’s equipment.

Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811310 with a small business size standard of $11,000,000.00 and PSC of J039.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. A solicitation will not be issued for this procurement action or posted to the single Government Point of Entry, the SAM.gov website.
