Notice of Intent to Sole Source
The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) Healthcare Contracting Division – West (HCD-W) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Only One Responsible Source. The proposed source is CERUS CORPORATION. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract. Reference#: HT941024N0141.
DHACA HCD-W on behalf of Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), intends to award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government’s needs, to:

This requirement has period of performance from 1 OCT 2024 to 30 SEPTEMBER 2028 (base + 3 options).
This requirement is to provide all services, materials, and equipment necessary for the repair/preventive maintenance of two government-owned Cerus Illuminators (SN: V02081606 / ECN : 142332 and SN: V02081607 / ECN : 142333) located the Blood Donor Center at Naval Medical Center San Diego to ensure dependable and reliable equipment operation. The scope of work performed under these specifications includes the furnishing of all labor and parts to perform all repairs on equipment listed and to assure continued operation at their designed efficiency and capacity.
There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811210 – Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance . This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
