ICE ERO has a requirement for reaccreditation of the Krome Service Processing Center in accordance with ICE Detention Standards. The accreditation process is administered only by a commission from the American Correctional Association (ACA) and ensures that detention facilities maintain compliance with the Standards for Adult Local Detention Facilities, a detention standard that was developed by the ACA and that ICE incorporated into our own internal detention standards. This requirement will supply ICE with the necessary accreditation as well as a mock audit to be performed at the Krome facility in preparation for the ACA audit.
