The U.S. Army Center for Environmental Health Research (USACEHR) has a requirement for the purchase twelve (12) of Illumina's next generation sequencing reagent kits. These kits are necessary for the preparation of multi-species samples for transcriptomes/genomics/epigenomics analysis to be carried out using Illumina sequencers using reagents from Illumina.
This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System 334516 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only in accordance with (IAW) FAR 5.201 and is not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties that believe they are capable of meeting the requirement stated herein may submit technical data sufficient to determine that capability. All capability statements received by closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable contractor for providing Illumina reagents compatible with existing Illumina Systems is llumina Inc., 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego, CA, 92122.
