The unique technical specification of this system is that it comprises of a Ti:sapphire modelocked laser pumped by a high power green pump laser, followed by an optical parametric oscillator (OPO). The Ti:sapphire laser shall provide tunable pulses from approximately 700 nanometers to 1000 nanometers. This laser will be used to pump the optical parametrical oscillator, gaining access to wavelengths below 500 nm and up to 1600 nm.

The NAICS Code is 333314- Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing with a Size Standard of 500 employees. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Coherent for this requirement.
Interested parties that can demonstrate that they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST must clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
