CITY OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, CALIFORNIA NOTICE INVITING BIDS For MISSION TRAILS NATURE PRESERVE, 3 STREAM/DRAINAGE PROJECT Notice is hereby given that the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea is soliciting bids from qualified Contractors for work including but not limited to: Doolittle Trail: Clearing, grubbing, and trenching along Doolittle Trail for installation of approximately 150-LF of HDPE piping along with (2) 3’x4’ concrete catch basins; installation of a rock apron approximately 3’ wide by 5’ long; installation of rip-rap at approximately 6’ wide by 12’ long at the pipe outlet into the creek bottom. Willow Trail: Construction of 4’-8” wide boardwalk approximately 85’ in length along Willow Trail, exact alignment to be determined in the field. Conform and restore on both ends with minimum 4” thick “Golden Granite” comprised of a width of 5’ and a length of approximately 60’. Willow Trail: Clearing, grubbing, trenching, and grading on Willow Trail for installation of approximately 50-LF of 18” HDPE piping; installation of a rock apron approximately 3’ wide by 5’ long; installation of rip-rap at approximately 6’ wide by 12’ long at the pipe outlet into the creek bottom; Construct 10’x15’ rock-lined concrete swale, including 10’x15’ rip rap stilling basing on the top end, and 15’x15’ rip-rap energy dissipater on the bottom end; Placement of 6” thick “Golden Granite” aggregate base compacted to 95% relative compaction along Willow Trail covering approximately 1,000 SF. There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Tour at 10:00 AM on February 21, 2024 at the entrance to the Mission Trails Nature Preserve on Rio Road in Carmel across the street from Carmel Mission. This meeting will allow bidders to receive an overview of the project, review the working areas, and ask questions. At the time of the Bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform Contracts requiring Class A General Contractor’s License.
