The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a sole source contract to Money Media, Inc. for a subscription to FundFire.com. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission requires Commission-wide access via the Internet to current and historical news and in-depth analysis of the money management industry. The requirement is for access to Money-Media’s FundFire.com, which includes: original current news, in-depth analysis, and summaries of news reported in other sources; topics such as investment trends and product development, brokerages, high-net-worth investors, hedge funds, private equity, alternative investments, regulatory changes and legal cases, service providers, technology, and fund company operations; daily headlines with links to the full-text articles; online videos of industry speakers from major industry events; news coverage of people in the money management industry; quantitative information on asset management performance, flows, new product flows, and product launches; article archive back to 1999. Money Media , Inc is the only known vendor capable of providing the data that is required by the Commission. The period of performance for this purchase order is for a base year and two option years, if exercised, effective February 15, 2012. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The SEC intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for the provision of this requirement.
