This Sources Sought Notice is for the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) issued in accordance with FAR 5.101 of a Nurse Call System. The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources for providing services in support of the Nursing Division at Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility and does not commit the government to issue a solicitation or make an award OR to prelude a solicitation expected to be issued from closure of notice.

CCHCF provides medical care for approximately 35,000 Navajo. Serving a rural area, many of our patients travel 100 miles round trip to receive care and do not have electricity or running water in their homes. And, most of our elderly patients speak only Navajo, and live according to traditional Navajo cultural practices. The Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility and Ambulatory Care Center is a 60 bed inpatient hospital and outpatient facility. Services offered are: Adult inpatient and Pediatric Inpatient Care, Outpatient Primary Care, Adult Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Podiatry, OBGYN, Labor & Delivery, Women's Health, Midwifery, Mental Health, Pharmacy, Optometry, Dental, PT, OT, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Lab, Public Health and School Health. We live in one of the most scenic areas of the country, and offer almost unlimited opportunities for outdoor recreational activities.

Description of Services: The contractor shall provide and install a Nurse Call System(NCS) that will be used as communication between the patient(s) and the healthcare provider staff when assistance is needed immediately at the bedside; ensuring patient needs are met in a safe and private manner, while meeting state, federal, and local regulations and requirements of a healthcare setting. The purpose is to ensure there is, at a minimum, supervised audible communication between the patient(s) and the healthcare staff in the inpatient units at Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, with Voice over IP (VoIP) capability. The contractor shall be responsible for supplying all elements to install a fully operable and compatible system; including, but not limited to the software, interfaces, training to Chinle Hospital staff to maintain and operate all components of nurse call system. The nurse call system (NCS) is an essential component of hospital based care. The system allows for effective communication between the patients/families and the healthcare staff; it is also a requirement to meet the standards of the Joint Commission, as well as other regulatory bodies. A NCS provides both audible and visual communication between the patient/family and the healthcare staff in the inpatient care areas, and extend to other areas of the hospital (i.e. radiology, emergency room). The NCS is essential for both routine and emergency situations in the patient care areas.

• Must be compatible with Hill-Rom Smart Bed connection, as CCHCF currently has some Hill-Rom beds in all the inpatient areas.
