THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025917N0089. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Nuvasive, Inc; 7475 Lusk Blvd, San Diego, California, 92121-1900. The objective of this sole source award is for a Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion Back Surgery. Salient Characteristics must include:
1. Percutaneous Screws consisting of a variety of poly-axial screws, reduction screws, offset connectors, rods, locking nuts, and transverse connectors
2. Implant components must rigidly lock into a variety of different configurations to suit the individual pathology and anatomical makeup of the patient

Nuvasive, Inc is the manufacturer of the needed items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113; the small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 06:00 AM Pacific Time on July 17, 2017 may be considered by the Government.
