The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division in support of the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC) Warfighter Directorate intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to PolyOne Corporation, located at 1275 Windham Parkway, Romeoville, IL 60446, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The requirement is for DuPont Zytel nylon resin pellets, specifically Type 42A-NC (no color) and Type FE3071 (no color) of nylon 6,6 grade.  A sole source purchase has been justified because this specific product is the only item that has been approved by the Government for use in its specific mission requirement, and PolyOne Corporation is the sole authorized distributor of DuPont resin pellets in the United States.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 325211 and the size standard is 1,250 employees.
