This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items (section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued separate from this announcement. Solicitation number DE-SOL-0008763 is issued as a Request for Quotation. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-83. A fixed price contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a competitive 100% Small Business set-aside. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334515 with a business size standard of 500 employees. This particular product requirement is not waived under the SBA (Small Business Administration) nonmanufacturer rule, and therefore any small business quoting a product that is not its own, must be quoting a product from a domestic small business manufacturer.
