The award will be for the purchase of an OmniLog Combo Plus GEN III (aerobes and yeasts) is to enable the automated, miniaturized biochemical characterization in a multi-assay format using proprietary databases, which also generates data regarding the metabolic differences of the microorganisms of interest. This piece of equipment is critical if we are to advance the knowledge of the microbiology of vegetable fermentations in ways that would support the developed of optimized and customized processes with unique organoleptic characteristics and minimal environmental impact. This includes a GEN III Omnilog Combo Plus System, 115 VAC, a GEN III Database (GN & GP), a YT Database, Rel. 6.0 and freight to the below location. The system is proprietary to the manufacturer and the proposed vendor is the only known distributor of this equipment.
The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order on or about August 21, 2019, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This Notice of lntent is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received by 2:00 PM central time, August 20, 2019.
