The District intends to establish a pool of Architects by On-Going Architectural Services Agreements (“Architectural Services Agreement”) awarded through this RFQ. The term of each Architectural Services Agreement will be five (5) years. The Respondents awarded an Architectural Services Agreement will be part of a “pool” of architectural services firms from which the District will assign specific Projects from time-to-time, in the sole discretion of the District (“Assigned Projects”). When the District determines to proceed with an Assigned Project, the District will request proposals from the Respondents awarded an Architectural Services Agreement to complete architectural services for the Assigned Project. A Project Assignment Amendment (“PAA”) will be issued to the Architectural Services Agreement of the Respondent selected to provide architectural for an Assigned Project. Notwithstanding award of an Architectural Services Agreement to a Respondent, architectural services will be provided only if a PAA is issued to the Architectural Services Agreement for an Assigned Project. Assigned Projects may include capital, modernization, renovation and maintenance projects with estimated construction costs of less than $1.0 million which are funded by the District’s Measure MM bond proceeds, other District funds or state appropriations. The District may secure architectural services for projects with estimated construction costs exceeding $1.0 million from architects who are not awarded an Architectural Services Agreement pursuant to this RFQ.
