Department of Transportation, Research and Innovative Technology and Administration, Volpe Center (DOT/RITA/Volpe), intends to solicit and award a sole source one time, firm fixed price Contract to Optima Electronic Packaging Systems (EPS) of Lawrenceville, GA for the purchase of an Optima rack with related accessories of seismic bracket kit, PCU, and PCU spacer. Statutory authority for this sole source purchase is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The requirement consists of Line Items: (0001) 38 UN of Part Number H292601-1, Seismic Bracket; (0002) 38 UN of P/N H291894-1, PCU Shelf Spacer; (0003) 38 UN of P/N H466283, M1 Series, STARS Rack. These items are required for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) System Wide Information Management (SWIM) Terminal Data Distribution System (TDDS) project. The Optima EPS M1 Series rack and related accessories have a seismic Zone 4 rating. These items meet the specialized equipment requirements identified during project testing and SOW, i.e. less than 42U rack height and Zone 4 seismic rating. The applicable NAICS code is 332322 with a size standard of 500 employees. Any interest party, other than Optima EPS., that feels they can satisfy this requirement must identify their interest, experience, and capability to satisfy the requirement no later than 5 days after the posted date of this announcement. All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation.
