The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Loretto, Pennsylvania, intends to issue solicitation RFQ 20802-007-9 for the provision of providing Optometrist Services. The contractor must provide Optometrist services to patients in a correctional setting. The Optometrist must be a graduate of an accredited university, with a degree in Optometry. The Optometrist must be eligible for Board Certification and be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania. It is estimated the contract will include 12 months of Optometrist services @ 16 hours per month per contract year. A session will be defined as 8 hours. Estimated total sessions per year is 24. The contract period shall consist of a base year and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about November 6, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is December 8, 2008. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered.
