The USDA, ARS, Western Regional Research Center, Albany, California has a requirement for full-coverage standard service support of a Pacific Biosciences PacBio RSII DNA sequencer #100-210-100. Support plan includes unlimited on-site emergency visits during workday business hours, parts and labor coverage for routine service and maintenance events; software updates, remote diagnostics support, and unlimited phone/email technical support during workdays. The Government intends to negotiate with the only known responsible source, Pacific Biosciences Corporation, in providing maintenance and service support for the PacBio RSII DNA sequencer. Justification for this award is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A solicitation is not available for this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.

This solicitation incorporates the following commercial FAR clauses by reference 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. The following applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.225-13, 52.232-33, 52.232-36 (FAR clauses may be obtained at www.acquisition.gov).
