This is not a request for quote, request for proposal, or invitation for bid. This is a Sources Sought for Government planning purposes only. Responses to this announcement are not considered quotes or offers, and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The Government will not be held responsible for any cost incurred in response to this Sources Sought announcement.

The Shaw AFB 20th Contracting Squadron intends to procure services for Packing and Crating at Shaw AFB. The packing and crating contract has been historically awarded as a small business set-aside but all businesses to include Veteran owned Service Disabled, women owned, 8(a), and HUBZone are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought announcement.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision and other items and services, unless specified in this contract as Government Furnished Property (GFP) to support Packing, Crating, and Transporting. Work under this PWS will support the mission of 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Shaw AFB, SC for Zone 38 (South Carolina; counties of Chesterfield, Clarendon, Darlington, Kershaw, Lancaster, Lee, Marlboro and Sumter) and Zone 39 (South Carolina: counties of Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion and Williamsburg).

BASIC SERVICES. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, except as specified herein as government-furnished, for the preparation of personal property of Department of Defense (DOD) personnel for shipment and/or storage and related services through the DPM. Work to be performed will be those services in the schedules provided after award of the contract.
The designated NAICS Code is 488991, packing and preparing goods and crating goods for shipping.

Your response shall include the following information:
• Size of company (i.e., 8(a), HUBZONE, WOSB, Veteran Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc.),
• Relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back to the last five years and your company's capability to do this type of work.
Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. It is imperative that business concerns responding to this Sources Sought articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately.
