This notice serves to announce the intent of the 14th Contracting Squadron to issue a solicitation for the packing, containerization and local drayage of direct procurement method (DPM) for personal property shipments . The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, transportation and all else necessary to provide packing and moving services for Columbus AFB, MS. The period of performance will be 1 Oct 10 - 30 Sep 11, with four, one-year option periods. The solicitation will be issued on or about 16 August 2010. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be posted with the Solicitation.

This procurement is set aside 100% for Small Business concerns. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 488991 and the small business size is $25.5 Million. The requirement will be solicited as a commercial service using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.5. The evaluation criteria will be detailed in the solicitation. Award of this contract is subject to availability of funds in FY11.
