The DEPARTMENT is soliciting services to systemically identify and prioritize locations for potential passing and climbing lanes coinciding with Traffic Safety Engineering and Federal data-driven goals. In order to do so, the Proposer will model existing highway attributes, passing lane characteristics, and climbing lane characteristics. In addition, a comprehensive inventory of existing passing and climbing lane locations will help to create a proper distribution of location frequencies.
