This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-31 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20090115. NAICS is 511210 with a small business size standard of $25 million.
Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer that meets the salient characteristics listed below . The 45 CONS/LGCB, Patrick Air Force Base, FL, 32925 is seeking to purchase the following Brand Name commercial items manufactured and designed by Portland Group Sales:

Minimum Salient Characteristic: System Performance Specifications: Items must be The Portland Group PGI software cluster for a linux based system. Programs must be capable of performing coupled-cluster theory optimization runs.
Preferred Delivery: 30 Days After Receipt of Order.
Place of delivery, performance, and acceptance is FOB Destination, 1030 S Hwy A1A, Bldg 989, Patrick AFB, FL 32925
