The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Alcon Laboratories Inc. on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) for PHACO Cataract Packs, Part No. AS13120-09. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The period of performance for this contract is one year. Period of performance will begin 15 August 2014 thru 20 April 2015. All firms responding to this notice must be registered with SAM (System Award Management) website www.sam.gov. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government.
