The project consists primarily of renovating and adding walls, ceilings, finishes, fixtures, HVAC equipment and other items in student rooms, corridors, public and support spaces. The project also includes some additional interior finish demolition, additional structural support, and additional spray applied fireproofing. Sealed bids will be received by Richard A. Farthing at the Armstrong Facilities Management Building, Facilities Planning and Construction Office, 501 Stockton Street, Radford University, Radford, Virginia 24142. The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp, as determined by the Bid Officer on March 27, 2024. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud beginning at 2:00 P.M. on March 28, 2024 at the same location. Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond Form (CO-10.2) is required. A Bid Bond and Contract Security will be required of all bidders regardless of amount. eVA BUSINESS-TO-GOVERNMENT VENDOR REGISTRATION: The bidder or offeror shall be a registered vendor in eVA. See attached eVA Vendor Registration Requirements. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawing of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and §2.2-4330.A.(ii), Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A pre-bid conference will be held at the Armstrong Facilities Management Building, Facilities Planning and Construction, 501 Stockton Street, Radford University, Radford, Virginia 24142 at 10 AM on March 7, 2024. Attendance at the pre-bid conference shall be mandatory for submitting a bid. The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications as the Owner in its discretion decides to award in the manner set forth in paragraph 12 of the Instructions to Bidders. Notice of Award or Notice of Intent to Award will be posted on the bulletin board at the Armstrong Facilities Management Building, Facilities Planning and Construction, 501 Stockton Street, Radford University, Radford, Virginia 24142, and on eVA. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Title 54.1-1103, of the Code of Virginia. See the Invitation for Bids for additional qualification requirements. All vendors desiring to provide construction and/or professional services to the Commonwealth shall participate in the eVA Internet e-procurement solution by completing the free eVA Vendor Registration. All bidders or offerors must register in eVA and pay the Vendor Transaction Fees specified below; failure to register will result in their bid/proposal being rejected. Vendor transaction fees are determined by the date the original purchase order is issued and the current fees can befound on the eVA website at https://eva.virginia.gov/eva-billing.html. eVA Orders and Contracts: The solicitation/contract will result in one purchase order with the eVA applicabletransaction fee assessed for each order. Instructions for Downloads & Extracting Files. Click the download button. The download queue shows your items selected to download. Click Continue to enter payment information. Click Submit Payment to download the files. Note the filename ( Download_#### ) if you need to search for it later. Save your file. Typically it saves by default to your ( Downloads ) folder. Open your File Explorer and browse to your ( Downloads ) Folder. Find the Download_###.zip file you downloaded. Right Click on the Download_####.zip file and click ( Extract All ). A Window will popup Extract Compressed ( Zipped ) Folders. The default should extract and create a sub-folder in your Downloads folder with the PDF files inside. Keep your ZIP Files in case you misplace, delete or corrupt your PDF file(s). You can always just extract them again. Once you have extracted the files this way you can move the unpacked folder or files. If you try to move the files out of the zip file any other way you run the risk of corrupting the pdf file(s)…
