Sealed Bids for the construction of the Pikeville Bikeway project will be received, by City of Pikeville, at the office of the City of Pikeville, ATTN: City Clerk, 243 Main Street, Pikeville, KY 41501 until 2:00 p.m. local time on July 15, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of installing necessary signage to delineate bike routes through the City and installing bicycle related amenities throughout. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Pikeville City Hall, 243 Main St., Pikeville, KY 41501 Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm or at www.pikevilleky.gov/bids and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents as described below. Bidding Documents may be viewed and purchased at Lynn Imaging, 328 Old Vine Street, Lexington KY 40507, (859)255-2021, or online at www.lynnimaging.com/distribution/ Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. DBE CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: 5% ELIGIBILITY: Bidders and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (“DBE”) subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. REQUIRED BID PROPOSAL GUARANTY: Not less than 5% of the total bid. The successful Bidder is required by Ordinance to Apply for an Occupational License from the City of Pikeville following the award of the Contract but prior to commencement of work.
