In accordance with FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b), the Department of Justice (DOJ), on behalf of the Security and Emergency Planning Staff, intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Monitor Dynamics, Inc. (MDI) of San Antonio, TX, for the purchase of HID ISO Prox 11, 1386LGCNN-120262, Access Control Proximity Badges.  MDI possesses the badge artwork and maintains the proximity badges numbering sequence which ensures that a duplicate series of numbers are not created as the DOJs physical access control system does not permit duplicate badge numbers.  Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available.  However, interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit in writing complete information detailing their ability to satify the requirement.  Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.  Submission of information does not guarantee this requirement to become a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to not open the requirement to full and open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
