THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command; Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) (AIR 2.5.1.14), Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with CACI-NSR, Inc, 14370 Newbrook Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151-2218, to provide concept development and requirements analysis by the application of national security, defense and public policy in the forms of substantive research and analysis, technical/policy advice and assistance, and direct support to PMA-271. CACI shall provide providing support for mission systems acquisition and TACAMO Regeneration Assurance Team (TRAT) communications systems architecture requirements. Supporting services include providing Leadership Team members, Program Team Leads and Lead Test Engineers as well as other PMA 271 IPT Leads technical and analytical support for future E 6B mission and mission support systems. This action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10, U.S.C. 2304 (c)(2) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance for this requirement is for (1) one month from date of contract award with one (1) one month option. This contract will further allow for solicitation, evaluation, and award of the competitive follow-on procurement. The incumbent contractor is the only responsible offeror for this effort, as the Government would experience unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements.
