The United States Air Force (Tyndall AFB) intends to award a sole-source service agreement (12-month base with 4 12-month option) contract to Siemens Medical Solution for the following items in support of the 3256 Medical Group, Tyndall AFB, FL: Qty 12, Acuson model sequia 512 transducer, 8L5 transducer, EV-8C4 transducer, 4V1 transducer, 15L8W transducer and Sony Color printer UP-5600MD ; Acuson holds the software passwords and rights and will not release this copyright information to other contractors. This contractor offers a minimum up time of 99%,which is essential to the operation of the Ultrasound Department. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedure and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement is based on only one source able to provide this product. Responses to this notice are solely within the discretion of the government.
