The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to issue a sole source contract to the Tarrytown, NY Police Department for the following dates: 10/15/12 - 10/18/12, 10/22/12 - 10/24/12 and 12/10/12 - 12/14/12. The proposed action provides security during the NRC's "Evidentiary Hearing in the Indian Point License Renewal Proceeding" meeting. The Tarrytown, NY Police Department is the only organization with full authority to enforce any and all laws of the State of New York as well as any violations of the Code of the Village of Tarrytown.

The proposed acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR Part 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), which states only one responsible source and no other supply or service will satisfy agency requirements. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12. NRC intends to purchase the services from the Tarrytown, NY Police Department.
