The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Building Service (PBS), Office of Design and Construction, 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC is pursuing a contract to provide pollinator analysis at selected Federal Facilities. The ordering office is the Center for Urban Development in GSA’s Office of Chief Architect. The government intends to make a single award firm-fix-price contract, with the issuance of this solicitation/Request for Quote (RFQ).

Utilizing a team-based approach, a selected vendor will install and fully manage two beehives each at a series of GSA owned or operated sites across the country, selected by GSA and accepted by the contractor.  The contractor will conduct genetic analysis of the honey produced to determine what forage allows the critical pollinators to best thrive. This project combines a traditional service with a state-of-the-art genetic research using controlled beekeeping methods to deliver knowledge to GSA that would otherwise be impossible to ascertain.

The project timeline will be one year with an optional renewal year at a fixed rate. The contractor shall guarantee the viability of the bee colonies throughout the contract period of performance.

  • Vendors should submit any QUESTIONS regarding this solicitation to: [email protected] by 11:00am Eastern Time (ET) on Thursday September 2, 2021.
