                                                                       Cover Letter

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, is soliciting proposals under Request for Proposal CT2092-12, for poly/cotton fabric to manufacture inmate boxer shorts.  Delivery will be made to UNICOR - FPI, THTM Factory, 4200 Bureau Road North, Terre Haute, IN 47802.  This cover letter is to provide general information regarding submission of your proposal and samples excluding pricing data.

Please read the attached Request for Proposal in its entirety because some requirements have changed.  You are now required to complete your representation and certifications on-line. You are required to return the proposal back no later than June 29, 2012  by 2:00pm EST.  Submit at least three past performance references for like items with this proposal.  Please ensure that you provide your DUN's number along with a phone/far number where you can be reached at.

Please submit one original copy of your proposal signed and returned by an individual authorized to bind the offer.  Faxed proposals will NOT be accepted.  The proposal should be mailed to the following address.
