Meter software will be compatible with recent USPS system upgrades that require all metered parcels and flats weighing more than 13 ounces to have an intelligent mail barcode, i.e., Intelligent Mail Package Barcode compliant, and as a result allows for discounted contract rates, automatic $50 in insurance, street smart addressing, expenditure tracking and electronic return receipt. Additionally, meter software will have rate shopping (for all carriers and USPS) and report generating capability.
